Tour Series Format
The 2023 Tour Series consists of 6 events and a 7th event (THE CLASSIC) where anglers must earn an invite to participate.
Clicking on one of the events will take you to the event page and walk you through rules, registration, payment, etc.
Event pages are usually available/updated 2-3 weeks prior to the event date (or sooner).
Pay close attention to each event page while registering and again prior to the tournament. It is the angler's responsibility to follow every guideline and rule listed on the event page.
At the conclusion of each Tour Series event anglers are awarded points based on finish:
1st Place = 25 points, 2nd Place = 24 points all the way down to 25th Place = 1 point
(If no fish are caught in a tournament no points will be awarded.)
An anglers 5 best scores equal your TOTAL SCORE; however, anglers are encouraged to participate in all 6 events and the lowest score will be thrown out.
After the 6 Tour Series events the anglers who own the Top 20 scores and participated in at least 4 Tour Series events will earn an invite to THE CLASSIC.
Anglers who win an event on the Tour Series receive an automatic invite to THE CLASSIC as long as they participate in the minimum 4 events required. Event winners will likely want to participate in more than the minimum 4 events so they can try to win the coveted 2023 Angler of the Year which tallies your best 5 scores plus your finish in THE CLASSIC.
CLASSIC points are awarded the same as other Tour Series events (25 points for 1st, etc).
The Angler of the Year will have the most combined points (Tour Series TOTAL POINTS + CLASSIC POINTS). Tiebreakers are decided by the largest fish caught in THE CLASSIC (next tiebreaker is time largest fish is POSTED to Tourney X).
3 of the Tour Series events are also optional Ohio B.A.S.S. Nation Qualifiers for the 2024 National B.A.S.S. Kayak Championship.
This series will have it's own standings and format so be sure to read about it HERE.
