Identifier
Identifiers can be printed off HERE. The code for the identifier will be released by 9PM the night before the tournament on Facebook & Tourney X.
An identifier with no code, the wrong code, or codes in the wrong boxes will not be accepted. If participating in multiple tournaments you can combine codes on a single identifier, but they must be correct and they must be in the appropriate box.
Reusuable aluminum identifiers are a popular item with anglers and are provided by Blue Fox Gifts.

Payouts, Trophies & Prizes
Approximately 10% of the field will receive a payout.

Top 3 are paid in a field of 34 anglers or less.

35 anglers payout 4 spots; add a spot every 10 anglers above 35.

Payout spots cap at 10 anglers.

Payouts take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks to process.​
We try to make payouts as soon as possible but objections being filed, rule violations, and in-depth photo reviews can result in delays.
​
Anglers winning payouts will be sent an email once results are finalized. The email will be sent by Quickbooks and contain a link to fill out information for an IRS Form 1099. The email is sent to the Paypal account you used to pay for the event. Payments will not be sent until the information is filled out. This is only a one time per year information request.

Event Rules
When signing up for this event anglers declare that they understand and will follow the rules listed HERE. Anglers who violate the rules could face penalties all the way up to disqualification.

While it is the anglers responsibility to know ALL of the rules some common violations include:
*Not using an approved Ketch measuring board.
*No identifier or incorrect identifier codes (see identifier section on this page).
*Launching is only permitted from public access.
*Thoroughly read and memorize the rules section that describes how to measure a fish and understand each penalty that can be enforced.

PRE-FISHING RULES:
-
Pre-fishing from kayaks (tournament eligible watercraft) is allowed until dusk the night before the tournament.​

Pre-fishing in watercraft not eligible for this tournament (bass boats, jon boats, etc) ends at 10PM the Sunday prior to the tournament.

This tournament is black bass only (Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted).
-
This event has no captain's meeting before the tournament.

Per KBF Rules: Competitors may launch from any public-access shore directly onto Eligible Water.

Anglers may exit their kayak and fish while wading as long as:​​​

The kayak got the angler to the wade fishing spot and was launched within eligible water prior to wading.

The kayak is within 30 yards of the angler.
-
The kayak is within 1 yard of eligible water.
-
Anglers must continue to wear a pfd/life vest.

Anglers must follow this schedule:

6:00AM - Competitors may launch from public access points into eligible water (see eligible water section below).
6:30AM - First Cast
3:00:00PM - Fishing ends. Photos taken at 3:00:00PM or later will be denied.
3:30PM - Deadline to submit photos to Tourney X. It is the anglers responsibility to upload photos on time. No photos are accepted after the upload window on Tourney X closes, so plan accordingly.
4:00PM - Awards ceremony located at:

To be eligible for payouts, trophies, and prizes anglers must be present at the award ceremony.
Eligible Water
​​Listed below are only eligible waters and are not meant to necessarily be a put-in or take-out location. Be sure to refer to the maps and ask someone if you are unsure of a possible launch/take-out location. Posting a question to the Buckeye Nation Kayak Anglers Facebook group will receive a pretty quick response.
Several creeks run into one of the rivers below. Those creeks are only eligible if:
1. You enter them from the river listed below (no launching directly into the creek).
2. You can paddle/motor/pedal into them from the river. If you have to drag over trees or shallow water to get upstream that water is not eligible.

Twin Arches Reserve, Miami County Park District north of Troy (GM 108.8 on the map) downstream to SR 73/Oxford State Road (GM 48.5 on the map; Butler County Metroparks hand carried boat ramp)
Jacoby Road Launch to Riversedge Canoe Rental located at 3928 US 42, Waynesville, OH PH (937) 903-6468
State Route 718 (SW 27.0 on map) all the way downstream to the Great Miami River.
Entire river South/downstream from SR 41 (MR 27.1 on map)
There are several dams throughout sections of the eligible fishing waters! Be sure to research the section of water you are fishing!
