*The 2018 Trail will make 9 in person trail stops around Ohio, will hold 6 online events, one Classic (invite-only) tournament, and have 12 YAK Ohio species up for grabs.
*Every event/tournament is open to anyone except for the Classic on October 20, 2018. That event is an invite only tournament that requires qualification.
*Trail points will be calculated by 25 points for first place, 24 for 2nd, and so on all the way down to 1 point for 25th. Your best 5 events will make up your Total Trail Standings at the end of the year (max 1 online event will be counted in the 5 events).
*You can QUALIFY for the Classic in one of two ways:
1. Participate in 5 in person events
2. Participate in 4 in person events and 1 online event.
NOTE: Anglers can participate in more events than only in what is needed to qualify.
*So I qualified for the Classic, how do I gain ENTRY into the Classic?
1. Win one of the 9 in person trail stops.
2. Finish in the top 20 on the trail points leaderboard.
3. YAK Ohio: At the end of the year every fish an angler has in the top 3 YAK Ohio's will receive a raffle ticket. 2 entries into the Classic will be raffled off to those anglers. So if an angler has one catfish in top 3, a musky in the top 3, a crappie in top 3, and a trout in the top 3 they will receive 4 raffle tickets. Those raffle tickets will then be drawn for prizes which would include 2 entries to the Classic.
*Anglers can qualify for the YAK Ohio prizes raffled off at the end of the year by participating in 3 events. Only one of the online events an angler participates in counts toward the total of 3 events.
